
Although it is easily one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time, let’s not forget just how crash-prone and full of bugs it was. The base game launched on Novemand was a buggy mess. Let’s start in a chronological way, it’s the easiest way really. Players need to know what they’re buying and what’s the better product. It’s not that there are a dozen Skyrim editions or so, it’s just that Bethesda has somehow managed to make it very hard to understand the differences between them, for those who are just now coming into contact with any of them. As of October 29th, 2016, the game has a 60% ("Mixed") rating on Steam. The Special Edition did indeed offer slight graphical improvements over the original game, as demonstrated by PC Gamer.

The Special Edition is also the first game in the series to offer use of the Creation Club to purchase mods licensed by Bethesda. Other improvementsīethesda employee Matt Grandstaff stated on Twitter that the Special Edition would be 64-bit. By creating a account, you’ll be able to browse and try mods right from within the game. You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do.
